Read our terms of service and conditions for our professional tree services across Sydney's North Shore.
1. Agreement to Terms
These Terms and Conditions constitute a legally binding agreement made between you and JOHN'S TREE SERVICES NORTH SHORE ('we', 'us', or 'our'), concerning your access to and use of our arboricultural services and website.

2. Services
We provide professional tree services including but not limited to:
- Tree pruning and trimming
- Tree removal and stump grinding
- Tree health assessments
- Emergency storm damage cleanup
- Hedge maintenance
- Arborist reports and council applications
- Land clearing services
All services are subject to availability and we reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason at any time.
3. Quotes and Pricing
3.1. All quotes provided are:
- Valid for 30 days from the date of issue
- Subject to site inspection and assessment
- Inclusive of GST unless otherwise stated
- Subject to change if the scope of work changes
- Based on the condition of trees at the time of inspection
3.2. Additional charges may apply for:
- Difficult access or hazardous conditions
- Additional work requested during service
- Emergency or after-hours services
- Additional material removal or green waste disposal
- Use of specialised equipment (e.g., crane or elevated work platform)
- Council application fees or permit costs
4. Booking and Cancellation
4.1. Booking Confirmation:
- A booking is confirmed upon receipt of your acceptance of our quote
- We require a minimum of 48 hours notice for standard bookings
- Emergency services are available subject to team availability
- Council permits (where required) must be obtained before work commences
4.2. Cancellation Policy:
- 24 hours notice is required for cancellation
- Late cancellations may incur a fee of up to 25% of the quoted price
- Weather-related cancellations will be rescheduled at no additional cost
- We reserve the right to reschedule appointments due to unforeseen circumstances
5. Insurance and Liability
We maintain comprehensive insurance coverage including:
- Public Liability Insurance
- Professional Indemnity Insurance
- Workers Compensation Insurance
While we take all reasonable care, we are not liable for any damage that occurs as a result of:
- Pre-existing property conditions
- Underground services not identified by the client
- Natural tree regrowth or environmental factors beyond our control
- Structural issues not visible during initial inspection
- Root systems that may affect structures or utilities after tree removal
6. Work Health and Safety
We maintain strict compliance with Work Health and Safety regulations. Our team reserves the right to:
- Cease work if unsafe conditions arise
- Require clear access to work areas
- Implement safety zones around work areas
- Refuse work that compromises safety standards
- Postpone work due to adverse weather conditions
- Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
7. Warranties and Guarantees
All our work comes with:
- 30-day satisfaction guarantee on workmanship
- Compliance with Australian Standards for Pruning of Amenity Trees (AS 4373)
- Certified arborists performing or supervising all work
Please note that we cannot guarantee:
- The health or survival of trees affected by pre-existing conditions
- Complete elimination of nuisance issues (e.g., leaves, seeds, wildlife)
- Prevention of natural occurrences such as tree disease or storm damage
